In all actuality, I really don't have a whole lot of experience setting a "fancy" table. I don't even really know for certain which side what silverware goes on or the cups vs. napkins and all that. I always serve buffet style because it's just plain more practical and efficient to do so.
So don't look too close, okay?
Especially since this is just for photos' sake and not for a real party I'm hosting. I don't even own a single napkin ring.
Just keepin' it real.
You can see how I spray painted one set of the bead garland that I found the other day. I threw it on the dining shelves, and I thought they looked kinda cute. Add a couple of fake pumpkins (also painted in my home colors) and a vase of hydrangeas atop a (spray painted) yard sale tray and you're good to go.
PS. My table needs re-finished. Bad. And I don't wanna do it....
I added the little wheat pots- what are those called?- in front of the white plates to add a little more fall color.
I used the olive colored table cloth I found here.
A couple of mis-matched cloth napkins I've picked up here and there.
(Oops, these must have been taken before I decided to add the beaded garland)
The centerpiece is some hydrangeas in one of the silver bowls I found here.
Nothing was purchased in order to set this table, but I did have to mop my floors. :)
All of this fall decorating is getting me so in the mood for the holidays. September-December is my favorite time of year. When's yours?
