Look-Alike

Okay, first of all, I know...it's been forever since I posted. Having a new baby (and that makes four!) has required me to take a step back, align my priorities, and get my feet underneath me. I feel like I've finally done that, and can get back to doing some of the things that had to wait a little.

I'm glad to be back blogging- I've missed it!

So, you may have noticed, I'm the last one in the whole world probably to join Pinterest. They used to require a facebook account- which I don't have- and so I wasn't able to join. I'm not sure when they stopped requiring that, but I was so glad to hop on that bandwagon! I recently joined pinterest and am in awe of the great things it has to offer! I stopped in my tracks when I saw the photo below.

I knew this had to be my first pinterest project. I've been wanting to add some charcoal in my house and you know I've always loved gold. So here's my take on it:

I painted my little cabinet "Charcoal Sketch" by Better Homes and Garden and topped it with a gold potted fern. I'm loving the inspiration from Pinterest.

What do you think of my first project?

PS. This new move to Mississippi has me desperate for natural lighting in my living room. I'm trying to figure out some lighting/camera tips, but until then, bear with my blurry photos? Ugh..sorry.
