So, I went around my house looking for "boy" accessories and "girl" accessories. We made up mock designs on the floor and laid them out how I wanted them. Then, because Gina is such a wonderful friend, she took them home and cut, tied, glued everything on perfectly.
Well, to me they turned out more than fine. I LOVE them!
So, here they are up close:
Dad's stocking has a gray wool cuff and toe, four brown buttons, a white painted skeleton key tied to some faux greenery with jute twine. A silver glittered monogram adds a little sparkle.
My stocking has a gray silk flower I made earlier this summer along with the same greenery and monogram. The cuff is made from burlap ribbon found at Michael's.
Here they are hanging on my shutters which I think I'll be painting gray soon.
